Don Griffin
Board Member, Chair of Research CommitteeDon Griffin founded West L.A. Music Inc., a successful music products retailer selling professional musical instruments and audio and recording products to top artists and recording studios worldwide. In 2012, he sold the company to Guitar Center and launched his next venture, Westlake Professional, focused on the design and installation of recording and production systems for top artists, recording studios and broadcast companies, including Sony, Universal, Warner Brothers, and Disney. He also has extensive experience in acquiring and managing commercial and residential properties and holds real estate licenses in California and Hawaii. He earned a B.A. in economics and an MBA from UCLA. Don has served as a board member, board officer and president of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Don’s life-long passion for music, created a natural connection to the mission of Children’s Music Fund as a long-time supporter and provider of musical instruments for children in need, and since 2019, as a board member and chair of the research committee.
